AnaMarina is designed by London-based Camper & Nicholson Marinas, one of the world’s most prestigious marina design and management companies with an outstanding track record successful marina design and operation in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Middle East and western Europe.
Since their joint venture with First Eastern Investment Group in Hong Kong, Camper& Nicholsons/First Eastern offers its renowned services in Asia through its Hong Kong office. Together with other well-known foreign consultants and engineers such as Royal Haskoning/DHV and Surbana Jurong, extensive hydrology and bathymetry studies, severe weather scenarios and precise surveying of the area have been conducted. This has resulted in an efficient and feasible marina design that meets the highest international standards, giving it an expected lifespan of at least 50 years.
As AnaMarina is directly facing open sea, two breakwaters surround the marina basin to provide shelter. The layout and design assure that, even in the worst possible weather scenarios, the wave disturbance in the marina basin and entrance will be minimal and the yachts kept perfectly safe. The design of the marina provides for 220 berths, of which 60 will be realized in the first stage before the soft-opening in September 2017. Berth sizes vary from 10 m to 70 m, while extra-wide berths for catamarans are also available. They are formed by a piled, floating concrete pontoon system, supplied by Marinetek from Finland. The service pedestals for the provision of water and electricity on the pontoons is to be installed by Plus Marine from Italy.
