According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, on 22 March, the department coordinated with Saigontourist Travel Service Company Limited to prepare for the 2023 Hong Kong – Nha Trang Sailing Regatta.

The 9th edition of the sailing regatta is expected to take place in late October, with the participation of 15 to 20 sailing yachts. The race will start from Hong Kong and finish at Ana Marina Nha Trang.

During the meeting, the organising committee proposed that the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism and relevant authorities provide support in ensuring security and safety throughout the event. Both sides also discussed cooperation in organising accompanying programmes and activities to promote Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa as an attractive international destination.

A yacht prepares to depart from Hong Kong during the 2017 Hong Kong

The biennial sailing event has been jointly organised by the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club and Saigontourist since 2004, playing an important role in promoting Nha Trang and Vietnam as premier sailing and tourism destinations.

The most recent edition was held in 2019 (the 2021 race was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic), attracting nine teams comprising approximately 100 sailors and crew members from the United States, Italy, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and Hong Kong (China).
