In the mid-18th century, Captain Aleksei Ilyich Chirikov secured his place in maritime history aboard the legendary sailing vessel St. Paul. Beyond his voyages of exploration into uncharted waters, his legacy came to embody the spirit of discovery, freedom, and the enduring elegance that continues to inspire generations of seafarers and yachting enthusiasts.

Captain Chirikov's greatest contribution extended beyond exploration itself. Through his strategic vision and exceptional navigational expertise, he identified and established some of the first safe anchorages along the challenging Alaskan coastline. To him, a secure harbour was the foundation of every successful voyage—protecting both vessel and crew while enabling bold expeditions across distant seas.

Today, Ana Marina Nha Trang proudly honours this remarkable maritime pioneer through a statue of Captain Aleksei Chirikov. More than a tribute to history, it symbolises the timeless connection between the great explorers of the past and today's yachting community—a reminder that every extraordinary voyage begins with a safe and reliable harbour.
